When the spray material is used to coat the furnace lining, its material should be commensurate with the original furnace lining, and the chemical properties, high temperature strength deformation, fire resistance, and linear expansion should be similar. The granularity of the granular material should be selected according to the thickness of the sprayer structure and the spraying method (such as wet or dry). Improper selection of particle size has a great impact on the rebound loss of spray material adhesion. Rebound loss refers to the number of parts that are rebounded and failed to adhere to the material when sprayed onto the substrate. The proportion of particles not only affects the compactness of the spray layer structure, but also has a great relationship with the level of adhesion rebound loss. Generally speaking, the wet sprayed material is too coarse, and the amount of coarse particles is too large or too small, which is not conducive to the density of the spray layer, and the coarser particles and more coarse particles often lead to greater rebound loss.
Wet spray construction has been widely used in the construction and repair of linings such as torpedo tanks, blast furnace iron hooks, tundishes, steel drums, and rotary kiln waste incinerators.
