Spraying method of refractory spray paint

The use of high-speed air flow as a refractory material carrier for spray construction refractory is called spray refractory, it includes spray coating for repairing damaged liners and construction of new liner spray coatings. The following editor will introduce you the spray method of refractory spray coating.
Refractory spray coatings, regardless of spray repairing furnace linings or spraying new linings, can be divided into two categories: cold material spraying method and molten material spraying method according to the material state on the working surface being sprayed.
There are five types of cold material spraying methods: 1. Wet spraying method; 2. Mixed spraying method; 3. Semi-wet spraying method (or tidal spraying method); 4. Dry spraying method; 5. Mud spraying method. The molten material spraying method is divided into: flame spraying method, slag splashing furnace protection method, and plasma spraying method.
Cold material spray material is mainly composed of various granular powdery refractory materials. The content of binder is generally low, and it often contains a suitable amount of co-solvent to promote sintering. A small amount of water is added during construction stirring.
The material of the granular fine powder raw material used for the spraying material should be selected according to the requirements of the furnace lining properties such as the use temperature, slag properties, and temperature fluctuation range that can be reached in the furnace. When the spray material is used to coat the furnace lining, its material should be commensurate with the original furnace lining, and the chemical properties, high temperature strength deformation, fire resistance, and linear expansion should be similar. The granularity of the granular material should be selected according to the thickness of the sprayer structure and the spraying method (such as wet or dry). Improper selection of particle size has a great impact on the rebound loss of spray material adhesion. Rebound loss refers to the number of parts that are rebounded and failed to adhere to the material when sprayed onto the substrate. The proportion of particles not only affects the compactness of the spray layer structure, but also has a great relationship with the level of adhesion rebound loss. Generally speaking, the wet sprayed material is too coarse, and the amount of coarse particles is too large or too small, which is not conducive to the density of the spray layer, and the coarser particles and more coarse particles often lead to greater rebound loss.
Wet spray construction has been widely used in the construction and repair of linings such as torpedo tanks, blast furnace iron hooks, tundishes, steel drums, and rotary kiln waste incinerators.
